Specialty coffee columnist Cho is a part time writer with a long term interest in the local coffee, confectionary and bakery industry in South Korea. His relationship with coffee began when he was only 15 years old, drinking hand-drip coffee at the legendary Bohemian Coffee (1990 - 2021) in Anamdong (¾È¾Ïµ¿), Seoul. He writes regularly for publications and newspapers including The Korea Economic Daily, Monthly Coffee, The Chosun Ilbo and has written several books on the subject too. His most popular title, Roasting the Story of 19 Baristas (¡º¿¾ÆÈ© ¹Ù¸®½ºÅ¸, À̾߱⸦ ·Î½ºÆÃÇÏ´Ù¡», 2016) is considered the first book on the subject and comprises a series of cleverly written anecdotes and interviews with the top specialty coffee brand owners in Korea. Other books include The Coffee Pragmatist (¡º½Ç¿ë Ä¿ÇÇ ¼Àû¡», 2019) and the recently published Specialty Coffee, from San Francisco to Seongsu (¡º½ºÆä¼ÈƼ Ä¿ÇÇ, »÷ÇÁ¶õ½Ã½ºÄÚ¿¡¼ ¼º¼ö±îÁö¡», 2022).
