Jungmin Bae is an aspiring poet and author of science fiction. She is primarily inspired by the interplays between human and machine, immigrant stories, unrequited love, and the roiling tumbling human unconscious. This is her first book of poetry, which comprises poems written at the height of her adolescence(2014-2018) and reflects an inner voice that is constantly evolving and reinventing itself to find its place in the world. Besides reading and writing literature, she enjoys watching and reviewing films, reading screenplays, curating music playlists, dabbling in satirical journalism, blogging, and trying new food. She also runs an Instagram account dedicated to short snippets of verse and micropoetry, sometimes accompanied by her own drawings (@jungmin_instapoetry). She is currently a senior in the international course at Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies, and lives in South Korea with her parents and younger sister, Soomin.

배정민은 시인이자 공상과학 소설가를 꿈꾸는 19살 청소년이다. 그는 인간과 기계 사이의 상호작용, 이민자 스토리, 짝사랑, 그리고 복잡한 무의식으로부터 주로 영감을 얻는다. 이 책은 그의 첫 시집으로, 청소년기의 한창인 2014년부터 2018년까지 쓴 시를 통해 세상에서 자리를 찾기 위해 끊임없이 고군분투하고 번뇌하는 한 인간의 모습을 담고 있다. 문학을 읽고 쓰는 것 이외로는 영화 감상 및 평론, 시나리오 읽기, 음악 플레이리스트 만들기, 풍자적인 사설 쓰기, 블로그 관리하기, 그리고 새로운 음식 시도하기 등의 취미를 갖고 있다. 그는 간단한 삽화와 짧은 시를 바탕으로 인스타그램 계정(@jungmin_instapoetry) 또한 운영하고 있다. 현재 용인한국외국어대학교부설고등학교 국제과정 3학년 재학 중에 있으며, 부모님과 동생 배수민과 함께 한국에 거주하고 있다.
